Careers

We are 200 people across six offices. The work is demanding, the standards are shared and the firm is employee-owned.

Life at Bennett & Fletcher

Good work, properly taught.

We look for consultants, researchers and assessment specialists who can hold a technical conversation and write a clear sentence. The work is demanding, but the standards are shared.

We are employee-owned, which changes the conversation. People stay because the work is interesting, the standards are clear and the firm belongs to the people who run it.

What it is like

Small teams, high standards, no theatre.

The work is varied, but the culture is consistent. These are the things people notice in their first few months.

The work

One week you are mapping a market for a CTO search; the next you are reviewing a scorecard with an engineering manager or sitting in on a calibration session. The work is varied, but it is never vague.

The team

Small teams, direct access to clients and no layers of account management. Consultants own their searches, researchers own their market maps and assessment specialists own the quality of the evidence.

The standard

People here care about getting it right. We would rather extend a search than force a hire, and we are comfortable saying no when the evidence is not there.

The ownership

We are employee-owned, so the firm belongs to the people who run it. That changes the conversation about time, investment and what we are building for the long term.

Values

What we mean by a good search.

Evidence over adjectives

We describe what someone has done, how they did it and where the risk sits. A shortlist should be useful, not flattering.

Long-term over quick wins

A placement that lasts is worth more than a fast one. We would rather extend a search than force a hire.

Discretion

Senior searches are sensitive. We keep names, conversations and decisions inside the process.

Craft

Research, assessment and feedback are skills. We train for them, review them and keep improving them.

Benefits

What we offer.

Hybrid and remote-first working, with hubs in London, Amsterdam, New York, Singapore, Austin and Dubai
25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
Private medical cover and a 5% employer pension contribution
Enhanced parental leave
£1,500 annual learning budget
Two paid volunteer days each year
Employee ownership, with a stake in the firm through the EOT

Learning & development

Time to get better.

Training is part of the work, not a day bolted onto the side of it. Everyone has a development plan, a senior reviewer and time to use what they learn.

  • A structured induction across search, assessment and client work
  • Monthly calibration sessions with the assessment team
  • A £1,500 annual learning budget
  • External coaching for new managers
  • Time to attend talks, meetups and industry events

What we look for

Curiosity, judgement, graft.

  • Curiosity about how technology businesses actually work.
  • The discipline to write down what you heard, not what you hoped to hear.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a calm approach to difficult conversations.
  • A point of view, held lightly and tested against evidence.
  • The patience to do the research before the shortlist.

Speculative applications

We hire when we meet someone who raises the standard.

We do not keep a fixed list of open roles. If you think you would add something, send a CV and a short note about the work you want to do.
